The South
African Institute of Architectural Technologists (abbrev. SAIAT) was
formed in 1987 by Architectural Technologists in
South Africa
.

It
functions as an independent and self governing, voluntary organisation,
established to serve and promote its members and their profession.
|
|
SAIAT's
membership is open to fully qualified and accredited professional architectural
practitioners. Membership to the institute is on a voluntary basis and is open
to any Architectural Technologist and Senior Architectural Technologist, who
has achieved a minimum qualification of a National Diploma Architectural
Technology or any further qualification (B.Tech., BAS., M.Tech or D.Tech) at
any of the recognised Schools of Architecture at a South African Institute of
Technology or University (previously known as Technikon). Membership is not
limited to architectural technologists but also includes architectural
graduates from various academic universities in the RSA and from abroad.
