Congratulations to Claire Cole, Gerald Garner and
Brooke Pattrick Publications for their incredible success in having led
the awards and we are proud to be associated with the team that has paved
the way to such great success. Gerald Garner, the publisher and editor of
ARCHI-technology at the forefront of leading this team, with his
incredible vision, has carried the publication from it’s inception in 1999
to the successful magazine it is today. The SAIAT and its members extend their
congratulations and appreciation to all involved for their commitment and
determination to make ARCHI-technology a unique, interesting, often
controversial, exciting and highly sought after
publication.
The magazine focuses on trends in technologies and
aesthetics in architecture in terms of design technologies, materials,
styles as well as the buildings’ place in the environment and their user
friendliness, all lavishly illustrated to showcase these aspects.
Each issue has a regional focus as well as feature
section on deigning and specific materials. CAD issues and education also play a
major role with the architectural departments at the Universities and Institutes of Technology throughout
South
Africa (previously known as Technikon), being directly
involved with the magazine where opportunity arises.
The magazine
runs a separate and distinct
SAIAT section with current information, news and
views relevant to the profession, as well as detailed a Private Practice
Directory of SAIAT members.
Circulation through direct mailing, nationally,
across Africa as
well as internationally, reaches the architectural design, engineering and
building industries. Members of SAIAT benefit greatly by receiving the
SAIAT sponsored subscription to ARCHI-technology as well
as 4 copies of the 'Brooke Pattrick Publications' sister
publication, Building Africa. To view covers and contents page of the most
