Buildings in South Africa falls under the National Heritage Resources Act and in same cases applications have to be made to the Heritage Regulators. According to the Act, any building older than 60 years may not be demolished or altered without a permit issued by the relevant provincial heritage resources authority.

This workshop will contribute to the continuing development of the architectural professional by providing further mobility and transportability within the field of applying and understanding the requirements of the Heritage Act.
