IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR ATTENDING ONLINE PRESENTATIONS (WEBINARS)

The issuing of a CPD-certificate is subject to an attentiveness rating and minimum time online.

A minimum online time of 75%  of the total session time is required before certificates can be issued. As the issuing of certificates is subject to auditing, no exceptions to the above requirement will be entertained.

An attentiveness rating of a minimum of 75% is required. This rating is negatively influenced by having other applications open on computers whilst attending a webinar. Please close all other applications and refrain from opening them during a session.

SAIAT WEBINARS vs ESKOM'S LOAD SHEDDING

"Eskom’s national control manager, Gavin Hurford, said they previously projected that there would be 61 days of possible load shedding during winter, due to the parastatal’s ongoing maintenance programme. But Hurford said the scenario had changed over time and they were now predicting at least 100 days of rolling power cuts this winter" - The Citizen

SAIAT is implementing a change in the way we run online webinars from Monday 09 May 2022 to ensure that delegates will be able to still enjoy a webinar series for which they have registered without the fear of losing half of it due to load shedding.

Instead of presenting the different modules live as in the past, all modules will be pre-recorded and available from 00:00 on the day as advertised until 23:59 on the following day, with full control to the participant to stop and to re-start the recording and continue from where it was stopped. The same rules regarding attentiveness and polls will still be applicable and attendees will still be able to ask questions in the form of written questions - these will be answered via e-mail as soon as possible.
