APPLICATION FOR THE VALIDATION OF CPD EVENTS
TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THE VALIDATION OF A CATEGORY 1 CPD EVENT
SAIAT is mandated by SACAP's Board Notice 390 of 2023: Continuing Professional Development and Renewal of Registration, to validate Category 1 CPD events presented by third parties.
An Application Fee of R650.00 (incl VAT) is payable by the entity applying for validation of an event once an application is assessed. An invoice will be generated and e-mailed to the applicant, and is payable, regardless of the outcome of the assessment.
On approval of the application by SAIAT (validation), the following fees (VAT Inclusive) will become due. The applicant will receive an invoice from SAIAT with all the relevant payment details. This fee will cover the generation and publication of CPD certificates on the SAIAT ePortal, based on the data uploaded by the Validated CPD Provider.

Once off hosted event: R1 500.00

Repeated event 1 - 5 hours: R7 000.00

Repeated event full day: R9 000.00

Repeated event more than one day: R12 000.00
A validation is valid for three (3) years on the condition that approval conditions are kept and that the following annual renewal fee is paid. Cancellation of the validation agreement before the lapse of the three year period will be subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the fees that would have been charged annually until the end of the three year period. After three years the validation will automatically be renewed on an annual basis, except if written notice is given before the renewal date.

(PLEASE NOTE THE ABOVE FEES NOT APPLICABLE FOR THE FIRST 5 VALIDATIONS REQUESTED BY A CORPORATE PLUS MEMBER)
It is the duty of the applicant to ensure that the annual renewal fee is paid before or on the anniversary of the validation approval.
