Marius, the father of two daughters, studied architecture at the Tshwane University of Technology.
A senior member of SAIAT and a Senior Architectural Technologist, Marius moved back to George a few years ago, after a short stay in Klerksdorp. He has his own architectural practice in George.
Marius was elected as a director at the beginning of 2017. He is also the Southern Cape Regional Chairperson.
